Dr Wong Yee Choon is practicing as a Consultant Neurologist at Pantai Hospital Penang, Malaysia since Oct 2008. He is also the Chairman of the Drug Committee and the Director of stroke unit at Pantai Hospital Penang.

He began his postgraduate medical training in Scotland from 1998 to 1999 after graduating from The University of Melbourne, Australia in 1997. Dr Wong subsequently moved to Norfolk Norwich Hospital in England in 1999 to 2001 as Senior house officer in Medical rotations and eventually joined Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford, UK as Senior house officer in Neurology. 

Dr Wong obtained his MRCP (UK) and became a member of RCP, London since Nov 2000. Following that, he completed various postings and training at the National Neuroscience Institute of Singapore as an Advanced Specialist Trainee in Neurology from 2002 to 2006 before his appointment as an Associate Consultant (Neurology) in 2006.

He returned to Malaysia and joined Hospital Lam Wah Ee in 2006 as Consultant Neurologist before moving to Pantai Hospital Penang in 2008.

Dr Wong has special interests in acute management in ischaemic stroke and he had done research and publications in stroke. He was a speaker for various Neurology and medical meetings and had given many public talks in Malaysia.
