
MY, MalaysiaProfessor Cheah Pike See is Head of the Department of Human Anatomy, UPM.
She has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and has successfully secured numerous research grants and awards, including Special Recognition Award by Singapore Neuroscience Association, KANS–MSTF Gold Medal, Neurotorium Clinical Education Grant (Lundbeck Foundation), World Women in Neuroscience (WWN) Global Connectome Award, the DAAD Fellowship (Germany) and the UNESCO/SKUM Award.
Professor Cheah has also made significant contributions to the advancement of neuroscience through her leadership and service in regional and international scientific organisations. She previously served as Vice-President of the Malaysian Society of Neurosciences (MSN), Chair of the International Brain Research Organization Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (IBRO-APRC), and Council Member of the Asia-Pacific Society for Neurochemistry (APSN). She currently serves as a Council Member of the International Society of Neurochemistry (ISN) and Head of the Education Committee of World Women in Neuroscience (WWN).
Through her outstanding achievements in research, education, mentorship, and international scientific leadership, Professor Cheah has played a pivotal role in advancing neuroscience and fostering collaborations across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
