Dr. Nurul is a Deputy Director at the Integrative Pharmacogenomics Institute (iPROMISE), Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. She is also an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She has a lot of interest in understanding the neurobehavioral and molecular changes associated with aging and neurodegenerative diseases. She is currently investigating the molecular changes in the brain regions associated with cognitive functions using state-of-the-art omics approaches. She is also interested in understanding the neuroprotective potential of natural products on cognitive functions of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and vascular dementia mouse models. Apart from that, she is also working on a project examining the genetic causes underlying neurological and rare diseases.
