Dr Irene Looi graduated from University Malaya with MBBS and obtained her MRCP(UK) in 2002. She proceeded to do her neurology fellowship training under the Ministry of Health Malaysia from 2005-2008.

Dr Irene had her stroke fellowship training in National Neuroscience Institute, Tan Tock Seng Hospital Singapore. Subsequently, she did one month’s clinical research attachment in National Institute of Health Clinical, Maryland USA.

Her interest includes stroke care development in ministry of health Malaysia, white matter lesion, vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Dr Irene is also avid researcher and involved in lots of international early phase clinical trials.
