Dr. Tan Hui Jieh is a Neurologist currently practising at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun. He obtained his MRCP in 2016 and subsequently completed a fellowship in Stroke Neurology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in 2023.


Dr. Tan has a particular passion for the advancement of comprehensive stroke care, spanning hyperacute reperfusion therapies such as intravenous thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy, to post-stroke rehabilitation and multidisciplinary long-term management. He currently serves as the Perak Stroke Champion and Co-Chairman of the National Stroke Registry. In recognition of his contributions to stroke care, he was awarded the Rising Star Award in Stroke by the Malaysia Stroke Council.


Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Tan is an active advocate for stroke awareness and education. He is a regular speaker at national scientific meetings and community outreach programmes, with a strong commitment to improving stroke services and outcomes across Perak state.
