
MY, MalaysiaDr. Abdul Hanif Khan Yusof Khan is an Associate Professor and Consultant Neurologist at the Department of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. He completed his medical education at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and subsequently pursued his Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine at Universiti Putra Malaysia, followed by subspecialty training in Neurology through the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
As a clinician-researcher, Dr.Abdul Hanif Khan has made significant contributions to neurology, particularly in stroke care and has published over 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at numerous international conferences. His work on stroke treatment, post-COVID neurological manifestations, and myotonia congenita has advanced understanding in these specialized areas. His accomplishments have been recognized through various awards, including his selection as a Future Stroke Leader by the World Stroke Organisation. He currently serves as Chairman of the Young Neurologist Academy for the Asian and Oceanian Association of Neurology and is actively involved in multiple professional societies.
Beyond his clinical and research work, Dr. Khan coordinates undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses at Universiti Putra Malaysia and leads community service through stroke awareness campaigns. He has been principal investigator on numerous research projects and involved in multiple clinical practice guidelines in Malaysia.
